i woke up this morning feeling completely selfless, ready for whatever came my way. shortly after waking up, i literally had a wake up call. instead of benefiting from my new found perspective of the person that i am, i fell into a deep hole of self-pity and anger. I stayed there for the whole day, crying uncontrollably at some parts of the day. I literally felt like I'd be knocked down 3 flights of stairs. completely miserable i decided to go for a walk in the darkness of my neighborhood, this was supposed to make me feel better i guess? - it didn't. i cried some more. came home, made myself a plate of food that i didn't eat. I'm in a really weird place right now, and I'm desperately looking for something to lift my spirits but as of yet - nada. this is a strange post, reflecting where i am right now. im not going to apologize for it, because after all this is my blog - so why are you here? i'm entitled to a post like this now & then.

Just in time for the Winter

Whether you hate them, or you love them, the past 2 years have been ALL about the ugg boots and there really is NO denying their comfort - i've tried. I literally LIVE in heels, refusing to wear anything flat. (if comfort becomes an issue I stick to a wedge). At the end of the day, I love to come home cozy up in some uggs in front of the fire place. When I think of uggs I think of gingerbread, Christmas time and fluffy love on my toes.

i'm a free bitch, baby!

Bad Romance premiered on LadyGaga.com yesturday after it failed to release on its scheduled time on Monday. Fans were told that Gaga was perfecting it, and perfection it was.

I'll start with the fashion. Gaga wears Haute Couture on a day to day basis, so obviously in a video of such proportions we were bound to see the likes of some huge fashion houses. With 10 outfit changes in only 5 minutes. Staying loyal to her good friend Alexander Mcqueen after he was the first to premiere her single Bad Romance at his S/S 09 show, Gaga in head to toe Mcqueen and knowing Gaga's eye for a haute thing she managed to balance around on those Mcqueen hooves that still has jaws dropped from September. When she wasn't dawning Mcqueen it was SHINJI KONISHI, VAVA DUDU, FRANC FERNANDEZ, KEKO HAINSWHEELER, BENJAMIN CHO, NASIR MAZHAR, ALEX NOBLE or the HAUS OF GAGA. The video it self was a testament to avant garde.

The entire concept of the futuristic Russian bath house, and the combination of monsters and supernatural beings was mind blowing. She knows how to shock people, and get away with it. She spent 12 seconds of the video walking with a dead polar bear skin hanging off her shoulders. She's get criticized for her extravagence, but she isn't an artist for the understated and low-key.

And I cannot wait to see her live November 28th, who knows what were in for.

Here it is bloggies, your FIRST look @ my line Vinyl. This head wrap is the first piece of my collection to debut, but I can assure you that you will be seeing lots more where this came from within the next two weeks as I continue to work my little fingers to the bone, and work with my "babies" (everyone involved in the 2010 show) to make sure that the premiere of Vinyl will be a successful one.

They've inspired me, and as i've said to all my babies so many times this show will not only be a showcase for me and my line...but for every single one of them because they're the ones making it all possible and i love every single one of them so much for their ongoing support for Fashion Vida and Vinyl!

Here's a few of the shots from a shoot i did for my friend Beata who's is incredibly talented and creative. She had asked me to model for a cosmetic advertisement for one of her classes, which you can see above. It didn't take long to get the shot that she needed, so we decided to do some fashion shots for the blog. I had such a great time, Beata has this certain something about her that puts you at ease, I didn't feel like a model I felt like myself in the purest of ways. She's a great photographer and person, and Its so great when you re-connect with old friends. We have a couple of new projects in store...

Spent the weekend at this beautiful outdoor Scandanavian spa with the girlfriends, it was perfection. So soothing, and relaxing during the day & then a girls night of drinks, games, movies, and tonsssss of laughs. I came home today in the greatest moods, I reccomend taking time of occasionally like that. There's nothing better than just escaping your day-to-day even if its just for a night and spending that time with the important people in your life. ahhhh! thank you so much ladies!

Now its back to work.

off with your head!

This hat really was love at first sight. I found it, while exiting the store and without even trying it on decided I would make it work. Mind you, I bought this furry friend when I was still blonde - I couldn't wait to try it on, then realized the tan fur was pretty much the exact same colour as my hair. It actually looked like i had managed to transform my hair into this mullet that just looked desperate. I then spontaneously decided to die my hair a dark brown auburn. This hat is now basically on my head all the time. I love it so much, its hurts a little bit.

Im exhausted, can you tell?

I've got sooo much going on, and I've been hard @ work designing for both "I'll Do Me", and Vinyl. I'm so excited for the grand reveal of Vinyl, and to hear what everyone thinks about it. I've got so much to look forward to, but also a LOT of work to come before that. I just keep my fingers crossed hoping that all my hard work will pay off. The entire collection isn't even completed yet and I'm already picking out models for the show, looking at venues, and i've hired the fabulously talented Monica Bancheri to do all the makeup for the show. I'm so excited I could burst(but i wont).

Attending my first I'll Do Me rehersal tommorow where I'll be going through designs with the writer and director, discussing thoughts and ideas. And finally devising a grand plan for the entire styling of the show! I'll post some designs for this soon, cause Im sooo stoked.

Also... its become BRUTALLY COLD up here in Canadaland. I'm dying and its only October!
Hope all my fellow Canadians enjoyed their Thanksgiving long weekend, i ate myself into a coma.

I also found some old Hilfiger ads of him & Iman. Didn't realize how long she'd been riding the Bowie Train. Pure 90s purple turtleneck status! - It's been THAT long.
